Wow, another weekend that was...Congratulations to all those that came out this past Saturday and Sunday for the runs. We couldn't have asked for a better couple of days to run on. If only we had more time (and energy) to stay out there and keep the feeling alive! On Saturday we were treated to a lovely romp thru chin high grass on the Gauntlet section of the run. I particularly enjoyed the river crossing this week as it felt like a trail running baptism. (Does anyone have any ideas on how to strap your trail shoes to the outside of the car for the drive home? "eau de Rouge" gets worse in a hot car.) On Sunday, some of us attempted the 26km? Half Marathon route (must be a RRR thing). Even starting at 7:30, the temperature started to climb quickly and we were coming back to the hottest part of the day. Good thing we have those great yellow hats for shade! Way to go, only 61 days left until the big weekend of the summer!
I can't wait until next weekend! Does anyone have any ideas or preferences for next weeks run? Please email me or comment. In the meantime I will post tentative for now.
