The plans for this week

Tuesday night's Track Workout

This Tuesday night we will have our weekly workout at the Track. We have a lot on the schedule for this week, so please arrive on time and ready for a hard workout. The warmup session and the cooldown/stretching will be very important this week so plan on staying a bit longer than usual or dedicating yourself to get thru the whole workout in a timely fashion. The weather forecast has a chance of T-storms, so that means it will be hot and muggy come crunch time. Don't forget lots of water to hydrate.

Homework for Tuesday nights

I have been hinting and hesitating on assigning homework exercises for a couple of weeks now, if you feel that you are ready to add a core strength and stability workout to another day(s) of the week, please email me and I will put you on a weekly mailing of exercises to do. You will require a stability ball, possibly some hand weights (for hdd) and at least 30 minutes to dedicate to the exercise. Warning: This may be addictive.

Thursday night at 7pm:

The RiffRaff Thursday night jaunt thru the Rouge Valley is in order. Please come out and test your fitness. This week's tour may include "...Eagles Dare" descent, "Eiger Sanction", a portion of the "Gauntlet", and my personal challenge to anyone "White Hunter..." (the dump hill). Again, if you don't know or care what I am talking about, come out for the run and challenge yourself or come kick my butt!

Saturday morning, 7:30 am run:

Is anyone up for a little bit of a different run? I will try to go and check out the path some time this week, but I am interested in running the north section of Rouge Valley. What I propose is starting at the Twyn Rivers parking lot and venturing north to the Steeles end of the valley. But it will depend on the amount of poison Ivy and tall grass between start and finish.

Sunday morning Long run:

I will leave it to the General to post the time and details of this week's run.
