I know that it has 1) been a while since I updated the blog with anything interesting and new. and 2) It has been a while since I have come out to a Saturday morning trail run in the Rouge Valley (or elsewhere).
So First things First: This Saturday morning the Run will be in the Rouge Valley at 8am. The rain that we are having this week should open a lot of the trail to running and make it nice and muddy so we can have some fun. So Let's meet in the parking lot off Kingston Rd on Saturday and have some fun!
Personal Note: I hope that everything is well with all you guys and it is my hope to catch up with all of you that I haven't run with in a while and we can share some stories of how we all made it through such a hard winter of training.
As some of you know, I have been training for a long distance Ultra and it is my hope to finish my first stab at the big race. I am hoping to weather the ordeal well since the past couple of months have been very gruelling conditions to run and train in. If you don't know, I am training to run the Sulphur Springs 100 Mile race at the end of May. It is less than 55 days away and it looks like it is going to be a great event. With a lot of miles under my belt and some pretty good advice and reading, I think that I will be in good shape for it. If anyone has any advice or support that you wish to lend, feel free to email me at niemimaa@gmail.com
I promise to do my best to keep the blog a little more up to date and I have some great content to share.
All the Best,
Ken Niemimaa
