Edgar's notes before the City Chase.

This is too good not to publish.

David,

I've been watching the so-called "opposition" and I've seen weaknesses all around.

  • Ken is not half the man he was since his hair has been cut. I think it's called the "Samson Effect". Did you notice that on Tuesday he had to bring a chair along so that he could rest? I think that by the time he passed the Eternal Flame he will be spent and will have to leave it up to his partner
  • Jen is ailing. She thinks that I haven't noticed the crutches she uses when she walks, but I seen them. Remember, last year we traveled by streetcar to give them a chance. Now they are talking about bringing a welding torch, but I don't think that they need it unless they bring a very long extension lead with them.
  • Chuck is unfit. He hasn't run more than 3K in the last month. I've also noticed that he starting to limp just like Mr. GPS (Greg D'Cruz) himself. A definite weakness
  • Amrit will be too distracted by any art or arty things she sees and will not be able to concentrate. They were thinking of bringing a lawn-mower, but can only get the pushing sort. This could slow them down when they go up Yonge Street
  • Little Robbie lacks the energy to really give it a go. He has had to work 3 days this month so he is a spent force. If we can get a few of the Bean People to be there he might be distracted and go the wrong way
  • Laureen is a pushover. I'll bring one of my children along and she'll be looking for child abuse and won't be able to follow the clues. I know that Rob will be bringing a chain saw and a stapler to this could be to their advantage.

I've got the 12 ft ladder and you've fixed the canoe, so we''ll be able to climb the CN Tower and paddle straight across the bay from Etobicoke to Queens Quay in double quick time. I have one little concern about Jen getting our kit though. Last night she was reading a book "Potions and Poisons for Vegetarians" and she might have put something on our shirts. Bring a barrel of water so we can wash them prior to wearing them.

Eduardo
