This Week in RiffRaff land

This is shaping up to be a busy week as summer has arrived and along with it the start of summer training and Racing.

Tuesday nights: I will be holding Tuesday night training sessions from June 13 through to September. If you haven't heard about it or if you need more info, check out the post: http://riffraffrunning.blogspot.com/2006/05/tuesday-night-workouts.html

Thurday nights thru the summer will essentially be trail runs with the majority being run in the Rouge Valley. Directions to the park can be found here: Glen Rouge Parking Lot These runs are open to anyone/everyone, but if you are not sure if you will be able to keep up, bring someone to run with. The trails are well marked and easy to follow. We meet at 7pm.

Saturday Mornings are the heart of the RiffRaff trail running group. Week to week we run on various trails in the Durham region. These include Rouge Valley, Seaton Hiking Trail, Greenwood CA, Heber Downs, Durham Regional Forest, Etc. The location of the Saturday run is posted every week right here on RRR, so check back each week to see where/if we are meeting to run. Usual meeting time is 8am, but we are open to suggestions. If you would like to be on the route committee, applications are currently being taken.

This Saturday marks the start of the 5 Peaks trail running series. This week, most of the Riffraff will be at the race in Milton at Rattlesnake Point. I hope the weather is nice for the race this year. If you haven't signed up for the race and are interested in doing it, contact Ken (me) for the group discount code to save $5 off entry.
