This Past weekend's runs

Saturday's run in the Rouge was nothing less than epic. The trails were dry enough to bomb, the pathways were quiet enough to hum along, and the river crossings were cold enough to chill but also facilitate the washing of our muddy shoes. A couple of our number decided to canoe the last km or so back to the parking lot---Even though they didn't have a canoe. The fishermen who were out had quite a site seeing these two RiffRaff splashing down the middle of the river! Good times.

Sunday...So we didn't get out to Mississauga this week?

With only 3 people able to go, and more people than that anxious but not able to make the trek to the west end, we ended up running here in the south end of Pickering. The last minute rescheduling ended up for the best as some of us felt the kilometers piling on and the distance would have been too much. Still, we were able to enjoy ourselves as well as drop by to see an old friend on the route. Some times it is very nice to run along familiar paths.

Up this week: Are we going out to Mississauga this week? Drop me a line if you are interested.

Saturday this week will most likely be at Seaton from the dump.
