The weather is changing for the better and so are the running conditions in the Rouge Valley. With the warm days and the freezing nights, it has made the trail a little bit chopped up and hard to run on in the early morning. That said, we had a pretty anxious group this morning as well as a few new faces who were going out for a shorter loop. I hope everyone that made it out this morning had a great run. Sometimes you may have some trips and some falls while trail running, but you have to remember to pick up your feet and keep your head focused on the trail to come. This focus will teach you to run longer without mind-drift.
River Crossing Alert!!!! River Crossing Alert! Howie would be proud of the General going up to his knees and making it all the way across the river today.
Tiffany "SITE"ING! It has been brought to my attention that our friend Tiffany was spotted running on the trails this morning despite the sub zero temperatures and early start time. Welcome back.
Here is a map of a suggested route for tomorrow's 16km (In Purple) and 26km(In Orange) both starting at Mr. Beans at Pt Union and Lawrence.

Did anyone notice this on the Mudpuppie's site
"Course: 98% trail 1% bridge 1% water crossing "
I thought they weren't having a water crossing.
Could this qualify for my April crossing ?
Looks like there is only one Saturday left to practice people, lets not be water crossing virgins before the race.
The General
Could it be that the mudpuppies are counting the ROCKS crossing as there 1%? I guess we could ask Gaylord what the run was like today...If he survived.
