The Garmin 305 is about to be released. It's new features include a coded HRM to eliminate crosstalk. Also, a higher sensitivity GPSr so that you can get better signal under trees and in concrete and steel canyons like Bay Street. They have made the whole thing look a lot better than the original (seeing impaired) model. The thing that I am most interested in is the more customizable screen readouts (they now let you customize every readout screen instead of just the one). They have also wrapped the antennae around the bottom of the watch so that more is available to the sky for signal. This isn't a big help for those women (and I guess some men) who wear the watch facing in towards their body. They will probably still have problems keeping signal. All in all it is a sleek looking update, we'll have to see if it truly is an upgrade.

C'mon, I am doing you a favour. The 301 is old tech. My grandmother wouldn't wear one of those.
So your grandmother is up on all the latest gadgets, is she?
With her RAZR and her 60GB ipod?
Granny is trading in her MOTO Razr in for a Pepper Pad +
