13 days til the Marathon. Dear Diary.

Okay so I am planning my last two weeks to the marathon and I have decided to keep a running diary up to the faithful day. Double gulp.

Here is my plan for the last two weeks as far as runs go:
  • Monday-rest
  • Tuesday-Trail run of 8.5km pretty easy (this means slower than usual.) 6:30am Rouge.
  • Wednesday-Long steady run 13km Run Club or at the lake.
  • Thursday-Rest
  • Friday-Track workout of no more than 4km with core and balance work. 6:30am PineRidge.
  • Saturday-5 Peaks Trail race at Horseshoe Resort.
  • Sunday-10km at 5:45 pace. 7am
  • Monday-Rest
  • Tuesday-Track workout of short ladder 2-4-6-8-2 with run to and from Pineridge.
  • Wednesday-Last run of 6km
  • Thursday-Rest
  • Friday-Rest
  • Saturday-Expo
  • Sunday-Run like hell and try to be smart about it.
With only about 5 quality runs left and one of them being a trail race, it is going to be a less than stellar attempt at my marathon goal. In the end it is going to come down to how good I feel on the day and if the conditions are good.

Still in my mind is what kind of pace am I doing at Horseshoe?

Tomorrow, What am I going to eat now?
