The Tuesday night that was...

Week 9 of your summer of training is done and over with.

Congratulations to all who came out last night for the training session. The weather was perfect and we nearly completed the whole workout schedule. The added hill repeats should be taking their toll on your large muscle groups. If you aren't feeling them the day after then maybe you should rethink your intensity level.

The other issue that you must deal with is injury. Where are you susceptible? Where are you feeling discomfort/pain? When are you feeling it? Here is a great little read from our friends at the Active Health Center in Markham on WHEN TO RUN OR NOT TO RUN. When it comes down to it, you are the best gauge of your fitness. If you have prior injuries, we can discuss what to do about it so that you don't get injured or don't further injure yourself. If you are currently down for the count, stick in there and examine what it was that you did or didn't do that caused the set-back.

We are in the most intense portion of the program right now, if you are feeling worn out or run down, maybe you should take some time off from something that you are doing. In addition, Maybe you should enroll in something relaxing like a yoga or pottery class to get your mind off of all the training. Or just enjoy the summer's final hot days and cool August nights. Cheers.
