It looks like another busy week ahead here in the world according to RiffRaff Running. Most of these times are tentative so please bear with me.
Tuesday night training: We will be meeting once again for our weekly session of Strength, stability and endurance training. We meet at 7pm at the Pineridge SS track. Anyone still interested in signing up for the program, this is probably your last chance before we elevate the workouts to the next level. For those of you already involved, don't forget your skipping ropes, workout mats, bugspray, sunscreen, lots of water, and your positive attitude.
Thursday night: We usually meet at the Rouge Valley for an hour run at 7 pm. All who are interested, please join us. I personally will only be going for a short walk (fast enough to outdistance the mosies) to the river and back. So I am not sure who will be running. If you want to run and need to know if anyone else is coming, feel free to post a comment to this message below.
Friday Night: This Friday night is the Nissan Foundations 5km race at the Docks. This is a fun, flat, and fast course where you can almost guarantee a Personal Best time. It is run at 7 pm, with a huge patio party afterwards. Check it out at: Docks Run
Saturday morning: I am not sure what is going on yet on Saturday morning. I will just say that I will probably not be in any shape to run at 6am like what has been previously discussed. I will post the following for now: Let's meet at 7:30 am at the Rouge Valley for a run all the way up to Plug Hat and beyond. This will probably be over an hour run, but will not include favourites like the Eiger Sanction and the Gauntlet. It will require us to head over the Bridges of Madison county and possibly get as far as FireFox. If you don't know what I am talking about, show up on Saturday and I will fill you in.
Sunday morning: This Sunday morning is the long awaited fun run down at Rotary Park. It is Cassandra's run : The Arthritis Society 10K Classic. The run is along the scenic pathways of the Ajax waterfront. Bring the whole family out to support this event in support of Joints in Motion. You can Register or volunteer Here. Also check out CassandraKicksAS.
Like I said...A busy week.
